if you want hard hitting bass you should probably at least consider getting 12's instead of 10's not much more initial investment and will be much louder depending on musical preference. 10's are better for rock music. as far as amps go i always go MTX or JBL get a 1ohm stable mono block and dvc 4 ohm subs so you can wire them in parallel to create a 1ohm load. would be too much work to try and get 2 amps to play together with independent subs cause they would fight each other. (one may put out more power than the other causing interference)

you don't need one the company is trying to just get you to buy amp. my mom almost had that happen to her i told her she might want to replace the head unit and when she went to the store they told her all this bull about yea you might need a new amp blah blah you don't you fine all an amp is needed for is the speakers and if you have factory speakers your fine.
but if you do need a new amp there's plenty of amps for so cheap like under a hundred just to get you past. check the source i show

John Q. Adams — secretary on a diplomatic mission to Russia at age 14, served as President, diplomat, Secretary of State, US Rep and Senator, and died in the Capitol building at age 80. Almost all of his life was in service to America.
The rest of the Adams family tree contains historians, politicians, ambassadors, legislators, military officers, and authors who all lived long and productive lives. One won a Pulitzer Prize. There's also a fair number of alcoholics who died young. It's a fascinating family.
